Africa returns to Minnesota! Giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and ostriches roam a six-acre exhibit transporting guests to an African savanna, May 23 - September 7, 2009. The grizzly bears of the Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit continue to be a hit!
 
Located in Apple Valley, just minutes south of the Mall of America, the Minnesota Zoo brings education and entertainment to life. Located on 500 rolling wooded acres, the Zoo is home to a lush tropical forest and aviary, marine center, boreal forest, and family farm. Featuring more than 2,000 exotic animals from around the world, visitors are bound for a new adventure!
 
The Minnesota Zoo is open year-round, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and December 25th.
